Great vintage die cast Ford truck sprinkler. This truck was made by NY Lint company around the 1960's. It is a cast metal Ford fire engine. The hose would attached to the spout on the back end and there was a gun that attached to the top for the sprinkler. There are a few pieces missing from the top. Once looks to have attached to the hood, the gun for the sprinkler and there are two holes in the back that a black metal piece attached to.
This truck measures 12" long, 5" wide and 5" tall. There is a great rusty patina to it, especially the white top of the cab. The front windshield is plastic and has a crack in it with a small missing piece. There is a crack in the black plastic piece that attaches to the hose. Unfortunately the sprinkler does not work. There is wonderful details including the Ford logo on the front end and in the center of each hub cap. The bumper reads: "NY LINT" and around each tire on the white wall, it reads: "NY LINT TOYS 6-70 x 15". The side silver pieces have dials and gages with "NY Lint" written on one. The back end is a bit bent up, but could be put back in place. The bottom reads: "Made in Rockford, Ill. U.S.A." and has the instruction sticker on it. If you click on each photo, you can zoom in to get a closer look. There is something that is rattling around inside the closed metal section. It may be the bottom attachment to where the sprinklers gun attached. The wheels work and the truck will move when you push it.
This is a great piece and would make wonderful decor in a farmhouse decor. It would also be a great gift for a firefighter or for man cave decor.
