Our baskets brings out a natural texture to your space. We work with weavers from the Kamba community of Kenya to come up with such incredible baskets. The basket is made from sisal strings obtained from a sisal plant. In their natural color they are cream white, they are then dyed into agreed color to be woven and then left in the sun to dry. After that two strings are intertwined and then used to start the weaving process. It takes 1-2 weeks to complete the weaving of one basket depending with the size.
Our baskets are purely handwoven and hence there can be a slight difference in the size and the color too.
During the transportation of the baskets, they can be squeezed hence loose their shape. If this happens you can use a container of similar shape to remold it.
The baskets should not be exposed directly to sunlight since they can fade their original color.
A sisal basket is made of a natural material (sisal) hence can deteriorate, we advise that you keep it away from a dump area or make sure that it doesn't come in contact with water. e.g If you have to use it as a plant pot cover we advise to use a plastic lining to the basket.
